Saint Jude

Daily prayer
to St. Jude

O kindSaint-Jude, our faithful intercessor to Jesus, receive the following special intentions : to present them to the Almighty Lord, Root of all good. Above all, grant us an increase of our faith in His love. May each day find us closer in our relationship with our Heavenly Father. KindSaint-Jude, you who has revived hope in our hearts, you whose model merits and life bring us the divine blessings and graces, be our advocate, and lead us to Jesus and Mary. With you, blessed apostle, we give thanks and praise God with all our heart for His innumerable kindnesses. Amen.

The Monthly Note

February 2016

The St. Jude's and the Rosary Oratory is located in the church of St. Albert the Great. The church of the Dominican Friars in Montreal is the place of prayer for three different communities. Every day Dominicans or Friars Preachers celebrate the three offices of the prayer of the Church and Mass. On Sundays, there are three masses: 8:30 am, one of the Dominican community; 11 am, one of a non-territorial Catholic community; at 7 pm, for university students community.

jeunes Saint-JudeIn January, the intentions of prayers written by young people from the 11 o'clock Mass were given to the Director of St. Jude. They were in a cardboard amphora that read: "Tap water from the heart." I am sharing a few with you:

"God, I wish people would not destroy forests."
"Peace in the world. No more war."
"To not quibble with my sisters."
"Improve a sick friend's health."
"Pollution. The wars. Grandpa."
"Change the hearts of men in the world."
"Peace."
"That the war in Syria stops."
"The Syrian refugees."
"Plow snow."
"May we stop the wars and the hungry will have food."

At all ages of life, the love of God and of our neighbor lives in our heart and prayers. For the Friends of St. Jude, it is a solidarity among all generations : children, parents and grandparents, friends, acquaintances and strangers. Many write to us asking to pray with them, assured that the Patron Saint of Hopeless cases welcomes our prayers and intercedes for us with the Lord.

The Dominicans in Montreal pray for you and your intentions every Thursday to St. Jude, at the 2:30 pm Mass. In solidarity with you, we pray to our Friend and Brother in the Lord to intercede on behalf of the prayer intentions you send us. With confidence we lay them in front of the statue of the Saint of Hope and we pray for them. A Blessed Holy Year of Mercy to you !!
