The Monthly Note
      January 2010
       Blessings
      by the Oratory team.
At the beginning of the New Year, all the friends ofSaint-Jude unite themselves to wish you a prayer of hope:  The Director of the Apostolic Works, his collaborators, the receptionists and all the correspondents as well as all those who stop to say a prayer at the Saint-Jude Oratory. (2715 Côte-Saint-Catherine Road).   From their hearts shines forth the wishes of the grand priest Aaron to his sons and daughters:
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord let his face shine on you and be gracious to you.   May the Lord show you his face and bring you peace! (Numbers 24-26)
Also, in this universal desperate cri towards the Apostle of Hope, quoting the Apostle Paul: « in the same way, all of us, though there are so many of us, make up one body in Christ, and as different parts we are all joined to one another. In brotherly love let your feelings of deep affection for one another come to expression and regard others as more important than yourself. In the service of the Lord, work not halfheartedly but with conscientiousness and an eager spirit. » (Romans 12, 5+).
We may ask faith for the Church’s Pastors and for love between all its members; Christ’s Light for all those in search of direction, peace in our families and between all nations as well as wisdom for heads of state; the generosity to share our bread with the hungry and to save water for the thirsty; to be present for the lonely and for the elderly; to heal the sick and to give hope to the dying; it will be while thinking of others as well as of ourselves.
And it is in a climate of hope without worry, of serenity and of trust that we beseech for all the blessing of God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, without forgetting the motherly concern of Mary, Queen of the Rosary.
The friends ofSaint-Jude wish all of you love, peace and health.  Happy and blessed New Year.
